The Cathedral of Saint-Jean (or Saint John) is located in the heart of Old Lyon and is a mixture of Gothic and Romanesque architectural styles. It is also known as Primatiale Saint-Jean. The construction of this cathedral spanned three centuries, from 1175 to 1481.The facade has three great doors decorated with statues that were destroyed during the French Wars of Religion. The cathedral of Saint-Jean also has remarkable stained-glass windows dating from the early 12th century. The central rose window on the facade is particularly noteworthy.A true architectural marvel!
